My wonderful foster parents told me I should write back to everyone and fill them in on how I am doing. Mom says I am a sweet and loveable girl. I LOVE to get petted and get attention from my parents. I like to go up on the couch and sit with them until my foster pup siblings join me. Mommy thinks I am intimidated by the other pups. If I leave the couch I remain in sight...never know when the treats may come out.

I am a sweet girl who Mom and Dad think should have a home where I am the only princess pup. I am actually fine around the other pups at dinner and treat time. I am never mean to the other dogs. It's just that I am not comfortable in the middle of the pack. I still like to hang under the table in my comfy bed where I can keep an eye on things.

I have things I love other than attention. I LOVE my chews. I become so excited I do this cute little prance at the sight of my chew. Mom loves it. I also enjoy my walks and get really happy when it is time to go. I am a great sniffer and investigate everything around me. I don't miss a thing! I also like the adoption shows because I get so much attention.

My life will be perfect in a home with my own people. If some family would grant this Princess her wish, I will be so grateful and elated. I promise my new family I will love them forever. Thanks for reading my letter. Love and kisses - Princess B.

Princess B here! I am checking in with you after my surgery. My ear is all healed now. I feel so much better, but I do have arthritis. My foster parents give me some good medicine to make me feel better. I am really a pampered gal in my home. I get special baths for my skin condition, and boy, does that make me feel nice. I smell good, too. I still like to hang out in my bed under the dining room table. But I do get curious about what is happening in my house, so I go into Dad's office to hang out with my foster siblings. Life is so much better, but I really want to find my real home. I know my home is out there somewhere. I really am a charmer, so please ask about me so we can meet. You will love me, and I will love you! Hugs and kisses - The Princess

01/27/2016 - UPDATE -

Dear Friends - Hi and Happy New Year from your Princess B. I am doing well in my wonderful foster home, but a Princess still faces challenges in life. I found out I have a torn ACL and I need surgery to fix it. I also have problems with my right ear. I continue to be a timid girl, but I do enjoy lots of things like my chews. I am not much of a toy player, but I am a princess, you know! I like to hold court under the kitchen table and relax in my great comfy dog bed throne. My foster mom and dad think I should be the only pup in my forever home so that I can get all the attention that a princess needs. I do get easily intimidated by other dogs, I must admit. I really am eager to find my forever home where I will get oodles of love and affection and will continue to come out of my shell. So, all my friends, if you think you can give this princess the quiet home she so craves and a little TLC, please contact my CSAC friends. I am so eager to meet my new family and continue to blossom in the love of my new home. Thanks for checking on me! Love and kisses - Princess B.

11/10/2015 - UPDATE -

After a pretty tough few weeks at the vet hospital, I am here at my foster home getting used to everyone and enjoying all the love. I even have an annoying little brother who is SUCH a pest, but we are getting accustomed to each other. I am a timid girl, but I do enjoy all the pets and love. It is so great to be with my foster family. I am learning to go outside using this neat doggie door that they have. Pretty clever for us pups. This princess is definitely a food lover No diets for me! I get so excited around dinner time. Guess what? My foster family had never heard me bark until we were in line at the drive-thru at Burger King. I barked at the cashier. I was trying to give her my order, but it did not work so well. My foster dad got a kick out of it though.

Love to all,

Princess B.

MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION:

Hi Everyone! My name is Princess B, and I just arrived at the CSAC from a shelter. Right now I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. A girl cannot catch a break - not only did I need cherry eye surgery; but I also had bladder stones that needed removed. Sigh, soon, hopefully, I will find my forever family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet.

Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link.

The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. If you can help, please donate.
